• One should know the meridians of home - the longitude and latitude. The GPS helps in knowing the longitude and latitude or you can look for online option and look up for the position of home.
• When you are sure about exact location, then you go online and visualize which satellite beam signals are closest to your location.
• It is always recommendable to make a system faces towards south.
• Make sure that it should not be blocked by walls, wires, towers or other constructions.
• Read the user manual carefully and try to install the system as directed.
• The coaxial wire coming from your dish system should be properly attached to the receiver. Once this is done check that the satellite dish and receiver are properly connected.
• Now hook up the receiver to the TV set.
• After hooking up, check if the TV is receiving the signals from the satellite dish system.
• When you are sure that the dish network installation has gone well then adjust the dish according to the height of your location.
